Affirm began trading on the Nasdaq on Wednesday with its shares jumping by more than 100% in the first day, laying the groundwork for huge growth in the buy now pay later space.
Affirm Dominating the “Buy Now, Pay Later” Industry
Heading into 2021, were seeing Affirm outperforming. Consumer mentions of using AFRM services to finance a purchase have increased about 79% on a YoY basis. They recently IPO’d, so there’s a lot of short term volatility. However, this is a name high on our watch list, especially if adoption rates continue as they have been.
